Private Schools In Punjab Announce Massive Increase In Monthly Fee And Annual Charges

  • Private schools in Punjab have increased their fees

  • Charging hefty annual funds from parents, starting this year

  • An average of PKR 1000 to 2000 has increased in monthly fees

  • Approximately PKR 20,000 is charged under the  annual fund 

  • High amount for school transportation facility, after receiving an order from LHC (Lahore High Court) to provide safe and secure transport services monitored by the school itself.


     

These are truly violations of government rules, parents are also complaining district education authority and provincial minister and have asked them to see the school fee structure personally.
Private School Ordinance Bar has restricted them from charging any other amount except tuition and exam fees. Many schools have sent orders to the parents to pay annual charges as the New Year begins additionally, PKR 30,000 for transport funds has also been charged to parents.
Punjab minters have not addressed these problems till now but they kept on privatizing more schools. MPA had submitted an adjournment motion over high school fees but no one was willing to take action against power private school mafia.



Murad Ali, from the government party, said, “Private schools are still selling books and uniforms although the court has ordered them to not. Now, they have increased monthly fees. The school where his son is studying demanded thousands under annual fees. It is useless to outsource government schools despite taking serious actions against private school mafia.”
