Architecture
The upgrading curriculum was observed by the National Curriculum Review Committees (NCRCs). The team to oversee revision involved esteemed professors, senior faculty, scholars, and industry experts. HEC released the press release on Monday and mentioned that these changes were meant to elevate the academic standards and industry demands and integrate marketing trends into each discipline.
HEC Deputy Director Hidayatullah Kasi acted as the Secretary of the sessions and each discipline was upgraded and evaluated by their expert. The experts of each discipline are below:
Prof. Dr. Muqarrab Akbar chaired the NCRC for Political Science
Prof. Dr. Shah Mohyuddin Hashmi for Islamic Studies
Prof. Dr. Attaur Rahman for Remote Sensing & GIS
Mohammad Arif Changazi for Architecture
The revised curriculum includes nomenclature, eligibility criteria, learning outcomes, course structures, learning objectives, degree requirements, and elective options to accommodate and align with international standards by keeping local requirements.
To meet the national qualification framework, each curriculum corresponds to 5, 6, and 7 levels. The HEC of Pakistan has forced universities to adopt these revised standards in the specified disciplines and ensure uniformity and quality of education across Pakistan.
