The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has approved a bill for a one-year paid internship program for BS Nursing Graduates.
650 nursing students from the entire province will be accommodated.
Provincial Health Services Academy (PHSA) will manage the internship of BS Nursing graduate students.
The monthly stipend will be PKR 31,000 with training at teaching hospitals across the province.
Ihtesham Ali, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Health, stated that this is the first-ever paid internship program for BS Nursing graduates. The country needs such programs in every field of education to empower youth. The BS Nursing program will be launched at PHSA-affiliated colleges. The action is shifted to the health department from the cabinet.
