A Press release was made public about the scholarship of extra talented students in Oxford University.
The Sindh government collaborated with Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) and announced the establishment of two prestigious scholarships in the name of two historical leaders;
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto
Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
The scholarships will be part of the OPP’s annual graduate scholarship programme to support exceptionally talented students from Sindh to pursue higher studies in Oxford University. Bilawal Bhutto and CM Murad Ali Shah made an official trip to Oxford and announced this good news to exceptionally talented students to have a chance to continue their studies in the most prestigious university of the world.
The Principal of Lady Margaret Hall (the alma mater of Benazir Bhutto), Professor Stephen Blyth hosted them for lunch and apprised the vision of the OPP (Oxford Pakistan Program). The Principal of Lady Margaret Hall performed foundational support of OPP.

The OPP (Oxford Pakistan Program) team of academics is led by:

Dr Talha J Pirzada, Lecturer in Materials Science
Haroon Zaman, a corporate lawyer in London
Oxford Alumna, Minahil Saqib
The OPP supports Pakistani students through scholarships, hardship in education funds, the annual Iqbal lecture and the graduation programme.
The OPP stated;
“Oxford is dominated by the students from privileged backgrounds, leaving behind talented students of the privileged class. We are committed to breaking these barriers and making quality education for all, ensuring world-class educational opportunities for underrepresented regions. Last year, the OPP awarded two scholarships to students from Sindh and Balochistan. Now OPP is actively collaborating with various government institutes to hunt talented students from underserved communities.”
Both Benazir Bhutto, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and Bilawal studied at the University of Oxford, and Bilawal aims to empower the Youth of Sindh by providing qualitative education and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful communities.
This fund will provide financial support to the 6 students of Sindh to pursue a graduate degree at Lady Margaret Hall, 3 scholarships for females under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Scholarship and 3 scholarships under the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Scholarship programmes.

“The OPP is opening new doors for Pakistani students of underprivileged backgrounds. I appreciate the Sindh and Balochistan Government for these scholarship programmes for talented students.”
Meanwhile, Sindh CM said:
“The scholarship is to enable students to study in the finest institute and expect these scholars to return with more wise and constructive ideas to uplift their country”
Imran Zarkoon Khan, Secretary Finance, Government of Balochistan, stated,
“Balochistan is a proud province to initiate this scholarship and hopes to initiate new opportunities to empower talented students of Balochistan to excel at Oxford and contribute to the country's prosperity.”
