The KPK Higher Education Department is planning to provide students with internships in various industries.
Higher Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi, chaired this meeting.
Internships will be awarded to BS students in government colleges.
Internships will also be awarded to students who recently passed the BS program or graduated.
The discussion with industrialists, government institutes, and NGOs of Peshawar, Mardan, and Hazara has agreed to respond positively. Other districts are also targeted by government officials to start this program on an urgent basis.
Minister Afridi stated, “The internship is necessary according to HEC guidelines. I have instructed the HED to start signing an agreement with the Youth Affairs Department about opportunities for ongoing BS students or fresh graduate students. An internship in AI is very important, and the department must talk with UET about developing such a program.”
