The long-awaited update for MDCAT 2024 candidates has finally arrived! The Sindh Health Department has confirmed that the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) will be retaken for all medical and dental students across the province. Following the Sindh High Court's directive, the new date for this critical exam has been set, and students are encouraged to start their preparations.

Conducting Authority: Sukkur Institute of Business Administration (IBA), as mandated by the Sindh High Court
The MDCAT 2024 retake will be held at several locations in Sindh, with a number of centers prepared to accommodate the large number of candidates. Here's the distribution of exam centers:
A total of 38,609 candidates are expected to appear for the retake.
The decision to hold a retake for MDCAT comes after the Sindh High Court's ruling on 26th October 2024. Following a thorough investigation into irregularities and cheating during the September MDCAT, the court ordered a retake to ensure fairness and preserve the exam's integrity.
The responsibility of organizing the MDCAT retake has been entrusted to Sukkur IBA, as per the Sindh Health Department's official order. The retake will occur on 8th December 2024, and data from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and Dow University of Health Sciences will be shared to streamline the process.
SIBA Testing Services, under Sukkur IBA, will oversee the MDCAT 2024 retake. The exam will be held across all six divisions of Sindh, ensuring a fair and transparent testing environment for all candidates.
Candidates appearing for the retake must bring their original Admit Slip along with one of the following documents for verification:
Candidates without the required documents will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
