The Ignite-National Technology Fund board announced the DigiSkills 3.0 program
The program is an upgraded version of its flagship online training initiative.
Secretary IT Zarar Hashim made this decision to serve as Chairman of the Board.
The program aims to provide free training to 3 million youngsters in three years and six months. DigiSkills 2.0 offered only 15 online courses, previously. The latest version introduces 25 free courses to increase digital literacy and freelancing skills. The board has allocated approximately Rs. 1.79 billion for DigiSkills 3.0.

Since 2018, the DigiSkills program has trained over 4 million persons from 300 cities across Pakistan. Collaboration between Ignite and the Virtual University of Pakistan, the initiative has played a vital role in strengthening the IT sector by maintaining a skilled workforce in the evolving dynamics of the global gig economy. Digiskill is the platform that has positioned itself as the country’s largest online training initiative by offering worthy certifications through VU.
