The Deputy Commissioners of all six districts of Rawalpindi have directed to impose Section 144 around the exam centers.
The Section will be imposed for the upcoming exams of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), set to begin on March 4.
Rawalpindi Commissioner Amir Khattak took that decision in a high-level meeting to review the exam arrangements of BISE Rawalpindi. He also asked for foolproof security measurements to ensure transparency and a peaceful exam environment.
BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Adnan Khan mentioned in the meeting that;
“Almost 120,24 candidates will appear in exams in 399 designated centers and control rooms have been established to oversee exam transparency. 97 designated centers are noted as sensitive; 37 in Rawalpindi, 15 in Attock, 17 in Jhelum, 8 in Chakwal, 11 in Talagang, and 9 in Murree. Strict security measures will be taken in these centers by deploying additional security staff to prevent any misconduct.”
Commissioner Khattak instructed,
“Install CCTV cameras in examination halls to maintain strict surveillance. The DC, AC, and other relevant officers have to conduct regular inspections of the centers. Examination is a process of healthy competition to shape the future of students. So we all have to focus on maintaining transparency in the conduction of the exams.
In case of any misconduct or negligence, register an FIR against those who are involved. Unauthorized or uninformed absence of duty examiners will be considered as compromised duty action. Every student must be confident that hard work will be fairly and transparently evaluated.”
