The Punjab government has announced the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025. The scheme aimed to provide free laptops to students so they could gain high grades. This is to promote digital literacy and academic excellence among students of Punjab.
- 50,000 latest-generation laptops will be distributed
- 2,000 laptops will be given to inter and graduation level
- The laptop will be delivered on merit
- Laptop specs will be 13th-generation Core i7
- laptops aim to facilitate research work
- Boost learning, and educational excellence among Punjab students
Special consideration will be given to:
- Minority students
- High achievers in examinations
Allocation Details
The laptops will be distributed among students as follows:
- University students will be delivered 20,000 laptops
- College students will be delivered 14,000 laptops
- Tech and Agriculture College students will be delivered 4000 laptops
- Medical and Dental College students will be delivered 2000 laptops
Regional Distribution
For just distribution, south Punjab students will receive 32% of the total allocation. This is to bridge the digital divide and provide equal opportunities for underprivileged areas.

- Business & Management

Application Process
- The process is streamlined and students do not need to apply online.
- Educational institutions admin will compile student’s data and submit it to HEC Punjab.
- The final student list will be displayed after verification.
- The selection process is on merit
Laptop Distribution 2025 Timeline
The laptop distribution process will start:
- Registration begins from February 2025
- The first Shipment will arrive in January 2025
- Distribution Starts after Ramadan and Eid ul Fitr
Laptop Distribution Ceremonies 2025
A laptop distribution ceremony will be formally organized at various locations under the Honhaar Scholarship Program initiated by the Punjab Government. This event will celebrate students’ achievements in their academic pursuits.
