Establishment of FBISE:
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad was established in
1975. It operates as an autonomous body under the
Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.
The board is responsible for organizing, regulating, and supervising secondary and higher secondary education within its jurisdiction. Its primary objective is to ensure a fair and transparent examination system while maintaining high educational standards across schools and colleges affiliated with it, both in Pakistan and abroad.
The FBISE serves students from Islamabad Capital Territory, cantonments, garrisons across Pakistan, Federally Administered Tribal Areas
(FATA), and Pakistani schools abroad.
