Almost 48 people including famous singer turned preacher Junaid Jasmhed died in the PIA Plane crash that occurred on Wednesday December 8. The plane of Pakistan international Airline PIA Flight 611 lost contact with the headquarters after its take off. The plane was carrying 42 passengers, 5 crew members and an engineer who sadly lost their lives in this tragic incident. As indicated by senior cop Khurram Rasheed, the plane crashed in a town in the region of Abbottabad, 75 kilometers (45 miles) northwest of the capital, Islamabad. The little twin-propeller air plane was going from the city of Chitral to Islamabad when it slammed soon after departure. There were dead bodies everywhere according to him and the remains of the victims were transferred to the near available local hospital where doctor did DNA tests for the identification of dead bodies.
According to the PIA the plane was fit to fly and after takeoff the pilot first reported a minor technical fault in the engine and after that the pilot made the “mayday call” before the plane lost contact with the headquarters. According to a reporter the crash site smell liked burnt flesh and there were remains of body everywhere and they then covered them with clothes before sending them to Ayub Medical complex. Senior government and PIA authorities were close by at a games complex on Thursday to get the remaining parts, which were brought by military helicopters from Abbottabad. The remaining parts are to be held in legal labs at healing facilities in Islamabad and in the close-by battalion city of Rawalpindi until DNA tests are finished as it is aa procedure that may take up to six days, as per a Cabinet Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.
The public has shown a great remorse over this painful and sad incident. People have expressed their regards and prayers for the victim especially for Junaid Jamshed. Former Singer who turned Islamic preacher Junaid Jamshed was travelling along with his wife and kid and was coming from Chitral. He was having a trip there and he also tweeted a picture along with his friends in Chitral mentioning the place as God’s gift labeling it heaven on earth. The death of such a famous personality has led public into shock and sorrow.
The families of victim are broken and are angry on the Pakistan international Airlines blaming them for their loss and calling it a murder. The PIA authorities are blamed to be still using the old planes and not making any progress with new air crafts. This was not the first incident of plane crash in Pakistan and now the crashes are becoming common in the country Around 150 individuals were killed in a crash in the slopes of Islamabad in 2010. Also a private plane additionally slammed close Islamabad because of terrible climate in 2012, resulting in death of each of the 127 individuals on load up
