How to Easily Choose Your Career After Matric

Every student gets confused after passing their matric exams, because he/she does not know how to choose their future career. In the times when our parent used to study they only had to choose between biology and mathematics. But in the current era students have to choose from various subject groups such as Science, Commerce and Arts (or Humanities).

Not many students have thought about it but they have the option to sit in exams for completely different educational boards. However, some educational boards have higher standards than the others so keep in mind that it can be hard to pass their examinations. 

Anyhow, after matric all boards will push you towards three options that are Science, Commerce and Art subjects. Let’s look at these options in detail:

1.    Science 



Students often take admission in Science group after passing 10th class, because following this study path you can go for high paying career opportunities in Engineering and Medicine. Colleges offer various subject combination in Science groups, which are named as following:

•    FSC (Pre-Medical)
•    FSC (Pre-Engineering)
•    ICS (Intermediate in Computer Science)

2.    Commerce



This group is the second most popular choice among students. Because following this path you will be able to build a career in banking, finance or accounting anywhere in the world. As thousands of companies are looking for capable people in the commerce field all the time. Colleges offer around seven subjects, each year, in the two years long degree programme under the ICOM (Intermediate in Commerce) certification.

Therefore, you should check all subjects beforehand to know they will not be too difficult for you to understand. If you are still confused about your choice let us tell you, you still have another option.

3.    Arts (Humanities)



Arts or Humanities group is not commonly followed by lots of students. But it definitely offers many exciting career choices such as literature, teaching, journalism and social work etcetera.

As a matter of fact, if you choose arts then you can study various combinations of subjects from the following:

•    Compulsory Subjects: Urdu, English, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies (Ethics for Non-Muslims)
