AI and education consistently preserve human agency in the world
Professor Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, FedeOn International Day of Education, Federal Minister for Planning and Development collaborates with UNESCO. It was an inspiring conference in Islamabad. AI is bridging education by linking it to national and economic development. This conference embraced a global educational vibe by preserving human agency replaced by AI (artificial intelligence). The major reason is to emphasize the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into the education system.

“Pakistan faces severe challenges including children not going to school, teaching staff shortage, and basic educational infrastructure in remote areas. We aim to address these challenges through digital and modern reforms. The curriculum is inclusive of these reforms. We are here to outline the government roadmap for educational reforms with the help of the Uraan Pakistan Program. This initiative includes dedicated teacher training, improved educational standards, digital learning, and quality education in remote areas. It is encouraging public and private partnership to bridge funding gap and educational outreach by ensuring transparency in educational governance through automation policy.”
Mr. Antony Kar Hung Tam, Officer-in-Charge of the UNESCO Office in Pakistan said,
“Pakistan needs to address gender and digital divide. The importance of ensuring multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholders, and strengthening learning. Also, need to address national educational transformation.”
The District Education Performance Index (DEPIx) is a vital tool for advancing policymaking, just resource allocation, and transparent governing. Federal and provincial government representatives shared educational progress and national development. The basic challenge is to address quality and equity. Panel delegates stressed educational reforms in economic growth. This highlights the importance of improved governance, teacher training, and AI integration in the educational sector.
This event brought together the federal and provincial ministers of education, UNESCO, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, civil society organizations, VC, and Principals of Educational Institutes. The United Nations General Assembly announced 24th January as the International Day of Education to celebrate peace and development.
Shaping the future of female education in Pakistan
Last year public institutions had a remarkable influx of students. This was a transformative initiative taken by the government to raise the standard of public and private education systems. The Principal Professor Sabah Faisal of Islamabad College for Girls (ICG), F-6/2, shared this detail during her interview with an agency.
She described the time when the institution was developed from a small junior school in 1968 with just 64 students. Now the institution currently stands as a top educational institution almost serving close to 6,000 girls. Sabah Faisal was so excited for this evident increase. This institution is not only a school but a refuge for students.
Parents are trusting institutions as they find it more safe and more supportive for their daughters. These attributes are the government's commitment to fostering female education. The government focuses on providing quality education to girls in a secure environment. Upholding trust to provide equal opportunities for students boom. Emphasize the importance of preparing students to compete in a rapidly evolving world. We focus on skill education to make girls financially independent.
The government aims to ensure girls are fully equipped with the tools they need to succeed in their lives. E-Rozgar stands out among all the initiatives ICG took. E-Rozgar was developed with the collaboration of the Pakistan Software Export Board. This facility empowers students to become entrepreneurs and freelancers. All within a safe and secure environment with solar-equipped and high internet speed.
Google Centre of Excellence partnered with Tech Valley and Google, is another transformative project. She said,
“This enables students to learn and collaborate with Chromebooks that are cost-friendly and cyber-safe. Learn updated tools and stay ahead in this digital competitive world. The institution adopts smart classrooms to integrate with e-learning platforms”
