Islamabad: The board of intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Federal organized a prize distribution ceremony in which they distributed laptops among the position holders on Thursday. The laptops were awarded to the position holders of Higher Secondary School Certificate examinations on the instructions of President of Pakistan Mr Mamnoon Hussain.
Engineer Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman who is Minister for state Federal Education was the chief guest in the ceremony. He appreciated student’s hard work and also congratulated them on their success.
The minister furthermore added that the scholarships for hardworking students have been increased to 50,000 annually to motivate the students rightly. “The cash prize for the top three positions in matric exams has also been increased. In this matter, Rs10,000/- will be given to first position holder, Rs75,000/- will be given to second position holder while Rs50,000/- will be given the third position holder,” he added.
At inter level the scholarship for first position holder will be 2 lakh, for the second position holder it will be 1.5 lakh and for the third and final position it would be 1 lakh. The position holders will not just get the prize money but will also be awarded with laptops as well.
The minister also added the student will be awarded Qarz e Hasana as well without any interest from their higher studies and they will later return it when they will join jobs with 5% interest only. The amount that will come back in return will be utilized for the other students.
