News Channel City 42 reported that the High court has decided against the increase in the fees of private Schools from 5% to 8%. The court has further ordered the private schools of Punjab to present a report on increase in the fees within 30 days.
If the private schools will not provide the authentic reasons in the given time against their fee structure, then these Schools will have to pay the extra fee back to the parents of the students.
The court ordered the Punjab Government to develop a policy on the annual increase in private school fees. The authorities should develop these policies while considering the profits of these private schools and the facilities they provide to the students.
With the new policy of Government, the private schools will not be able to ask the parents to buy course books and uniforms from a specific store.
Furthermore, no private school will be able to add extra fees. They should only ask the parents to pay the Tuition fees, Admission and Security Fee.
After many complaints from the parents, the court bench members also asked them to provide suggestions for improving the Fee structure of private Schools.
Private schools should follow the court orders and present their reasons for 8 percent increase in the annual fees. If the private schools are taking high fee just to increase their profits then they should change their way of doing business.
Schools in private sector see education as a complete business. They have forgotten that they should be nurturing their students to become successful people. If they do not worry about their educational duties, it will have a bad effect on the futures of millions of students.
